The Schartnerhof, our farm in Fiè allo Sciliar has something for everyone!!

You can recharge your batteries on the sun terrace, pick up an exciting book from our library or take a little walk to your next coffee. While planning your next hike in the Alpe di Siusi (Seiser Alm) holiday region, we are at your disposal with tips and hiking maps. We are also happy to accompany you on guided hikes through our wonderful mountain world around Fiè allo Sciliar.

Our well-kept garden also has all kinds of culinary delights in store for you. How nice it is to refine a home-grown salad with fresh organic herbs. Twice as beautiful when you see where the „treasure“ comes from. . . namely from good soil in healthy mountain air.

Immerse yourself in the hearty world of South Tyrolean cuisine and enjoy an authentic dumpling cooking class in a cosy atmosphere – every Wednesday. Together, we’ll discover the diversity of this traditional speciality and prepare a range of dumplings, from classic bacon dumplings to delicate vegetable dumplings.
Under expert guidance, you’ll learn the correct preparation step by step and receive valuable tips and tricks from regional cuisine. The focus isn’t just on the recipes, but also on the joy of cooking and enjoying food together.

Helping out on the farm – experience everyday life up close

What we take for granted as part of our daily routine is something very special for many of our guests: life and work on the farm. We’d be delighted to give you and your children an authentic insight into our everyday farm life and invite you to become part of it.
Whether in the barn with the animals, in the meadow or in the garden – there is always something to discover and a hand to lend. Anyone who wishes to is welcome to help out: feeding the animals, collecting eggs, making hay or tending to our plants. In doing so, you’ll experience first-hand just how much work, but also how much joy, there is in a life in harmony with nature.
This experience is particularly special for children. They learn in a playful way how to treat animals and food with respect and gain an understanding of where our food actually comes from.
Of course, there’s plenty of time left for marvelling, asking questions and simply enjoying the moment. Because life on the farm isn’t just about work; it’s above all about community, a connection with nature and authentic experiences.

Fun, games and encounters with animals on the farm

Here on our farm, there’s plenty for our younger guests to discover – and we guarantee they won’t get bored. Whilst the children let off steam on our playground, sliding, swinging or simply enjoying the fresh air, the next highlight is already waiting: our animals.
Whether it’s curious cats, friendly rabbits or our other farm residents – they all love a gentle stroke and make for unforgettable encounters. Direct contact with the animals is something very special for many children and stays with them for a long time.
Our own children are usually there too and are always delighted to meet new playmates. This is how new friendships are formed quite naturally – through playing, exploring and laughing together.
While the little ones are busy, the adults can also take a breather, enjoy the peace and quiet, and watch the colourful goings-on in a relaxed manner. Our farm is a place where children are free to move about, experience nature with all their senses and simply be children.
